Zoos and Aquariums

The New England Aquarium in Boston, MA. Visit
their interactive virtual tour. Home to African
penguins from South Africa and Namibia, rockhopper penguins (two subspecies) from South
America and little blue penguins from Australia and New Zealand.
The Bristol Zoo Gardens and their seal and
penguin exhibit. There are two species of penguin at the zoo. African
penguins, which are threatened in the wild and are in a co-ordinated conservation breeding
programme, and gentoo penguins. Take a virtual
tour above and below the exhibits. Very cool.
Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey Bay, California.
Their Splash Zone Exhibit features the Blackfooted Penguin.
Biodome de Montreal in Montreal,
Quebec features an Antarctic habitat that is home to 46 birds and represents four different
species of penguins: king, macaroni, gentoo and rockhopper.
